Drs Jeyam & Jesudas is a training practice and therefore this has significantly impacted our appointment capacity. Please be mindful of this when speaking with our team.

Christmas & New YearWe will be closed Monday 25, Tuesday 26 December 2023 & Monday 1 January 2024 and will open as normal on all the other days - please make sure you have enough medication to last you over the long weekend - order now with your pharmacy or online

FLU INJECTIONS - we still have some left - if you have not had your flu injection book yours now!! you may also be eligible for a pneumococcal & shingles injection, if you are we will let you know - we will also be sending out invites for nasal flus for ages 2-3yr olds.

Introduction - What is Enhanced Access?

From 1st October 2022, GP practices will be providing increased provision of primary care services (enhanced access arrangements) between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.00pm Mondays to Fridays and between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Saturdays. Our building will be hosing this service. If you prefer to be seen in the evenings or weekends please contact the surgery as normal and book an appointment. 

We have a number of different clinicians working with us, GPs, GP Trainees, Practice Nurse, Nurse Associate, Health Improvement Practitioner, Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioner, TAPP, Paramedics & MSK Practitioner - to help us book you in to see the correct person - Reception will be asking you for your name/dob/tele no & what your appointment is regarding, this is to ensure that 1) you are one of our patients and 2) that you are booked with the correct person which will give them time to prepare for your appointment. You also have the option of either a face to face or telephone appointment.

 

We are taking on NEW patients, if you are in our practice are and would like to register, please pop into the surgery for more details, we are on the right as you come through the door!

Annual Flu Clinics

If you are entitled to have a flu vaccine.

You are entitled to a vaccination if you have COPD; CHD; Stroke; Diabetes; Asthma; Renal disease; Liver disease; MS; are immunosuppressed; are pregnant; over 65 years of age.

If you are not sure ask the doctor or nurse.

Diabetes

Led by our Nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes. Patients are invited for reviews and annual health checks. A doctor usually sees patients after they have seen the HCA.

Our Nurse & HCA are also available for a wide range of health care and advice, for example, asthma care, advice on travel and family planning. Please enquire at Reception.

We also have the services of a Health Trainer.

Antenatal Clinic

We no longer have clinics here at the surgery. You will be seen by the Midwife at one of the Health Centres, who will arrange your booking and scans. We usually refer patients for booking for delivery at Royal Bolton Hospital, where scans and routine blood tests are also performed.

Nurse Led Immunisation Baby Clinic

All new babies are invited for an 8 week check with the Doctor and Practice Nurse. On the same day we would like to also do mums post-natal check so that you don’t have to make another appointment. You will also receive appointments for other baby immunisations. These are given by the Practice Nurses.

Immunisations

Babies and Preschool Children. Immunisations for babies and preschool children are carried out by the Practice Nurse. Invitations for all the routine immunisations are sent through the post. 

School Age Children. Routine immunisations are administered by the School Nursing Service (Tel 464570)

Adults. See the Practice Nurse for any immunisations.

Contraception

For advice regarding contraception see the GP or either of our Practice Nurse's who have family planning training. Advice is of course confidential.

Methods of contraception offered by the practice include: barrier methods, the "pill" and injectables. The "morning after pill" is also available.

We do not fit IUCDs (coils) in the practice. These can be fitted at the local family planning clinics.

Contraceptive advice and services can also be obtained at the local family planning clinics detailed below. No appointment is necessary.

Pregnancy testing is available through the surgery. Results take 2 days. Alternatively the family planning clinics offer a more immediate test.
