The NHS Breast Screening Programme Service will be inviting eligible women aged 50-70 for a mammogram.
(Please note - there is a research trial being carried out and some women aged 47-49 and 71-73 may also be invited in, these are picked at random).
The screening is carried out every 3 years.
The invite will be sent to you about 2 to 3 weeks before the appointment date.
The 4 Breast Screening sites are:
- Royal Bolton Hospital
- Nye Bevan House, Rochdale
- Radcliffe Primary Care Centre
- Bolton One, Bolton

The mammogram usually takes around 6 minutes but you should allow 30 minutes for your appointment. The result will be posted to the your home address 2-3 weeks after the mammogram.
